Australasian Postharvest and Managing Quality in Chains Conference
Scientific Program

We are pleased to announce the next Australasian Postharvest and Managing Quality in Chains Conference “Postharvest Pacifica – Pathway to Quality” to be held at the Napier War Memorial Conference Centre, Napier from 15 – 19 November 2009.

This conference is a combined event of  the Australasian Postharvest Conference (APHC) which is held every two years, and the Managing Quality in Chains Conference (MQuiC), which is held every 4 years under the auspices of the ISHS.

The conference will cover all aspects of postharvest science, and will include a strong focus on supply chain systems and practices, including modelling  of product quality and value, in line with previous MQUIC conferences. There will be a single Acta Horticulturae Proceedings produced from those papers that are submitted and accepted following a peer review process.

We look forward to welcoming to our symposium professionals involved in the supply (value)
chain including breeding, production, postharvest, processing, storage, distribution, marketing,
consumer attitudes and trends, economics and management, agribusiness, and the health and
safety of horticultural crops.

The Conference will include at least one technical tour and workshop. There will be a workshop on Market Access (due to popular demand at the last APHC), and we are open to suggestions on other topics/areas.

The on-line registration system is now open to complete your registration. Early bird registrations close on 3 July 2009.
